The Bray July 2016

Dubbed as “the desert race”, the Bray July was established in 1997 by former Springbok and rubgy star Frik Du Preez who saw the unique offering of the Kalahari Desert to international horse racing.
What started as an event in which the local farm workers and jockeys raced against each other has since turned into an international attraction for horse racing fanatics from Botswana, Namibia and other neighbouring countries, with a sizeable prize money of R250 000.
