Children of Fire(men) 2011

Children of Fire is Africa’s first burns charity dedicated solely to the rehabilitation of young burn survivors. It's committed to holistic treatment, and arranging the best medical procedures and care for children with devastating burn injuries.  Because prevention is better than cure, the charity raises  awareness about the dangers of fire. This is done through safety adverts, plays in school and hands-on education – especially in squatter camps, where most fires happen.

In 2011 a few of the kids were taken to a fire station outside Soweto as part of a spiritual healing process and a day of fun.  They got to dress up as firemen, were driven around in a fire truck and got to play around the facility.
